Privacy
Policy

LayaGrow processes the information needed for file organization and automatic classification on your Mac. This policy explains what information is stored, when the app connects to external services, and how you can review and delete it.

Effective October 24, 2026 · Version 1
Classification runs on your Mac

After the model is installed, a local model analyzes files and makes recommendations. File contents are not sent to a server.

Work history stays on your Mac

Workspaces and classification history are stored in the app support folder on your Mac and are not synced to a server account.

Downloads happen during setup

When you start installation, the app connects to external services to download Python packages and the Laya model.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the macOS LayaGrow file organization app and the LayaGrow landing page. The app does not require an account, and the developer does not provide a server feature that collects file organization activity or classification history.

Information handled locally by the app, such as file paths, file names, and workspace names, may identify a person. This policy therefore also describes that local processing.

2. Information We Process and Why

LayaGrow processes the following information on your Mac when you select it or perform an action in the app.

InformationPurpose and detailsStorage location
Workspaces and app settingsWorkspace names and types; paths to folders and files you register; macOS security-scoped bookmarks; and sorting, display, and transfer settings. Used to restore the interface and access permissions and to locate files.~/Library/Application Support/FinalFinalFile/workspaces.json and macOS app settings
Classification historyAction type and time; the full file path, including the file name; identifiers, names, and paths of suggested or selected destinations; and the model version. Confirmed move or copy actions may include hashed features derived from the file name and text excerpts used for classification. This information is used to suggest destinations based on similar files and your saving habits, and to create a personalized model.~/Library/Application Support/FinalFinalFile/Classification/events.jsonl
Files you select for classificationThe app analyzes file names, types, sizes, Spotlight metadata, and limited text, PDF, or document excerpts for supported formats. Image text recognition and media metadata may also be used for classification. Only items you confirm by choosing Send are moved to the selected destination.Processed in your Mac’s memory during analysis. Source text is not stored as readable text in the classification history.
Temporary personalization dataAfter every 300 confirmed move or copy actions, the app may rebuild recent examples from current records and run local training. Training uses up to 2,000 examples. Temporary training files are deleted when training finishes. The resulting personal model is used for future classification recommendations.~/Library/Application Support/FinalFinalFile/Laya/

Where does file content go? After model installation, automatic classification runs on your Mac, including while offline. File contents and classification requests are not sent to LayaGrow servers. The external connections required for the initial model and runtime installation are described in Section 4.

3. Retention and Deletion

  • Workspace information: Kept until you remove a workspace or reference in the app, or delete the app’s data from your Mac. Removing a reference does not delete the original file.
  • Classification history: The current app does not automatically expire or prune classification history. It remains on your Mac until you delete the history file or the developer handles a privacy request.
  • Models and training data: Installed models and the personal model are kept until you delete the app’s data. Temporary files created during training are deleted when the task ends.
  • Email inquiries: Deleted promptly after the inquiry and request have been handled. If applicable law requires retention, the information is kept separately for the required period.

To delete classification history yourself, fully quit the app. In Finder, choose Go → Go to Folder, open ~/Library/Application Support/FinalFinalFile/Classification/, and delete events.jsonl. This file may contain file paths. The Collections folder may contain actual files you moved, so do not delete it just to remove history.

Removing the entire app support folder may also affect workspaces, models, and collection files managed by the app. First check whether it contains files you want to keep.

4. Local Processing and External Connections

Workspace state is stored under ~/Library/Application Support/FinalFinalFile/. Classification history and the Laya runtime and models are stored in the same app support area. LayaGrow does not send this information to its own server or an account service. Backups or synchronization provided by macOS or chosen by you, such as iCloud Drive or Time Machine, are governed by their settings and policies.

When you choose Install Laya on this Mac in the app, the app-specific Python environment and libraries are downloaded from the configured Python package index (PyPI by default), and the Laya model is downloaded from the convaiinnovations/laya repository on Hugging Face Hub. Each download service may process your IP address and request information needed to make the connection. Installation requests do not include files you classify or their paths. After installation, model inference runs locally and model telemetry is disabled.

The network route and infrastructure location used by download services may vary by provider and connection. Each service’s policy governs its handling of connection information. Without installing the model, you cannot use automatic classification, but other app features, such as file browsing, remain available.

5. Sharing and Service Providers

The LayaGrow operator does not disclose your workspace information, file contents, or classification history to third parties or entrust this information to external companies for processing. The app does not connect to account, advertising, or analytics services.

The Python package and model downloads described in Section 4 connect directly to the download services when you start installation. The providers’ policies govern the connection information they receive and how they handle it. LayaGrow does not send your file contents to those services.

6. Your Rights and How to Exercise Them

You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to suspend its processing. Because classification data is stored only on your Mac, the developer cannot access or delete it remotely. You can review the information you hold or delete the history file as described in Section 3. Contact the privacy contact below if you need help with a request.

When you make a request by email, send only the information needed to handle it. You do not need to attach file contents or sensitive personal information. We will verify only the minimum information needed to confirm your rights and handle the request under applicable law.

For guidance on exercising your rights or resolving a dispute, visit the Personal Information Portal.

7. Cookies and Automatic Collection

The macOS app does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics tools. The current landing page HTML does not include cookies, analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or a contact form. If the hosting provider processes web server access logs, its policy may apply to that processing.

8. Security Measures

  • Classification and personalization training run on your Mac. File access is limited to locations you select and macOS permits.
  • The model and runtime are installed in an app-specific location and do not modify your general Python environment.
  • Telemetry settings for download services are disabled, and if a classification history file is corrupted, the app does not automatically overwrite its contents.
  • The landing page does not load external fonts, analytics SDKs, or advertising scripts.

Protection of your Mac account and backup or synchronization settings for storage depend on your device settings.

9. Children’s Personal Information

LayaGrow does not require an account or age information and is not an online service designed for children. If a file you select for classification contains a child’s personal information, that information may also be processed on your Mac as described above. Before a child grants file access or classifies files, a parent or guardian should review the device settings.
