Press Shift and
Your destinations fan out.

Drag a file from Finder or your desktop, then press Shift. Your favorite folders fan out above the pointer. Drop the file to move it there.

  3. Drop into your chosen folderDrop to move the file. Release Shift to close the folders.

Are file contents sent anywhere?

No. After Laya is installed, all classification runs on your Mac. File contents are not sent to external servers.

Where can I use Shift-drag?

While dragging a file in Finder, on the desktop, or in LayaGrow, hold Shift. It works even when LayaGrow is in the background. If you have many folders, pause over either arrow to browse another page.

Can I copy files instead of moving them?

Yes. Hold Option while dropping a file into a folder in LayaGrow to copy it and keep the original.

What if a file with the same name already exists?

Existing files are never overwritten. If a file can't be moved, Laya explains why and continues with the others.

What if I don't like an AI suggestion?

You can change a destination any time before moving files. Your choices also help Laya learn your preferences.
